A human face

Why this practice exists

A contradiction staged in public.

The project began with an actor building a machine-double of himself while the industry was learning how easily a face, voice, timing, and history could become reusable assets.

Todd chose to stage that contradiction in public. Facebook became the venue. Comment threads became improvised scenes. The synthetic double became a performer-owned rig. Consent, credit, compensation, control, and limits became part of the work.

01 / Todd

The performer

Actor, author, director, editor, rights holder, and final veto.

02 / The rig

The synthetic scene partner

A tool for variations, images, language, and mapping. Not the owner, the person, or the final decision-maker.

03 / The audience

A scene partner

Never feedstock. Participation in public does not erase consent, context, or the right to correction.

Why “Leaky”

Every medium loses and reshapes something.

In a public thread, context leaks past the words. Status, audience, motive, history, and consequence enter the scene even when nobody names them. “Leaky” refers to that spill of meaning. It does not refer to exposing private information.

The Leaky family

Shared questions. Distinct practices.

Leaky OS studies intelligence, consciousness, continuity, relational systems, and what can persist through transformation.

Leaky Kliewer performs those pressures through images, scenes, satire, labor questions, and the embodied problem of who controls a synthetic likeness.

Recursive Ambiguity Engine is our public journal. LeakyCloud explores continuity across machines, models, and providers. Together these projects share the Leaky identity, while each keeps its own purpose and boundaries.

Leaky Kliewer names the art practice. LeakyKliewer.com is its durable public address. The domain is now held and hosted through Reclaim, while the work is built and versioned through the Leaky Kliewer site project.
